Technology advanced, but the fundamentals of the sports always stayed the same. It started emerging and fighting for its place in the world. It evolved and paced with technology. And thus, esports emerged.
Esports has experienced a boom in popularity within the past few years. Talking particularly about Indian esports culture, many job opportunities rooted-up. Many esports communities and organizations were formed focusing on particular games. Everyone must have heard about one of the most popular mobile games “PUBG - Player Unknown Battle Grounds”, now known as “BGMI - Battle Grounds Mobile India”. It was one of the games which helped India a lot to spread its feet in digital gaming and esports era. Many professional players like Jonathan, MortaL, and Sc0utOP stood up. They competed along with their squad line-up and even picked up trophies at international grounds. Players like Naman Mathur aka MortaL who currently belongs to the organization and team ‘S8UL’ is one of the first players who showed exceptional performance and won PUBG Mobile India Series and PMCO Spring Split: India, garnering a huge fan base as they began their international representation. Making a career in Esports is as similar as making a career in any of the traditional job fields. You need skills, intelligence, and certain other abilities to be ready to outshine within the esports field. A keen interest in gaming and honing your skills with hours and hours of daily practice is the only way you'll have a considerable career. During the initial levels, you will need training on how to be a professional gamer that makes you earn money. Just like you worked hard during your school and college, similarly, in esports there are no shortcuts.
Esports isn't going anywhere anytime soon. It's a flourishing industry and people enjoy playing games for a living. Even though it can be hard for older generations to understand, young people are searching for careers in this field more than ever. Being an esports athlete is a viable career in some cases – if you play the most popular games and you are really good at it – but it can be even better. In the future, more games will hopefully gain popularity, and people from all around the world will be able to build their careers in the esports industry.
